Chemical Peeling

What Is Chemical Peeling?

Chemical peeling is mostly used for stain, scar and wrinkle treatment. The process is required by applying a healing solution to the skin by penetrating the peel and deep layers of the skin.

Chemical peeling is classified as superficial, medium and deep according to the depth level of the process. This classification is made according to which floor of the skin is peeling. Today, superficial and medium depth applications are made more frequently. Laser peeling method is preferred more than deep peeling applications.

Kimyasal Peeling

The most commonly used substances in superficial peeling are alpha hydroxy acids (AHA), beta hydroxy acid (BHA), Jessner solution and low concentration trichloracetic acid (TCA). All these products have an effect to increase peeling on the skin. Thus, cell renewal is accelerated.

Superficial peeling application reasons;

  • Regulation of irregular dry skin
  • Fine wrinkle removal
  • Acne treatment
  • Treatment of spots

There may be temporary redness, flaking and peeling after application, but they are not in a size to affect daily life. The skin gets a more vivid and radiant appearance after regular peeling treatment. After the treatment and in the sessions, sunscreen cream must be used.
